Why the Everlasting Embrace program?

Accepting Islam can be exciting for the new Muslim and the community witnessing it. Often, they are embraced by all those present, and receive numerous resources and advice. However, for most new Muslims, the community support ends there while they are left to find their own way and fend for themselves against their struggles.

In Australia, most new Muslim programs are well-suited to help educate on the practicalities and basics of the Islamic faith. Unfortunately, only a few of these programs provide ongoing support services new Muslims need to tackle the range of social, emotional, or even financial struggles that follow.

Through this program, we at NZF aim to collectively work with our partnerships to raise awareness and provide services along with ongoing community support to build an end-to-end service for new Muslims throughout the development of their Islamic identity.

Who is this program for?

The Everlasting Embrace program is designed to support new Muslims including anyone who are struggling with their Imaan (faith). We aim to work with our partners around Australia to provide support for Muslims in building their faith, Islamic identity, relationships with the Muslim community and the general community around them.

Support provided through this program includes, but is not limited to, buddy/mentor services, counselling, social events, community-based events (especially for Ramadan and Eid), religious education with access to Islamic scholars for continual learning, and even financial support for basic needs (food, medicine, bills, housing etc.) in certain situations.
