Why the Crisis Accommodation program?

Our homes are meant to be a place of comfort, ease and safety. However, for many of our brothers and sisters in need, this is not the case. Over the years, NZF has assisted victims of domestic violence, homelessness, financial difficulties (and more), in finding a way out of the streets and into respectable accommodations temporarily until they can manage themselves.

These situations can often be a lot more challenging when their loved ones, especially children, are involved as the lack of a home or simply a place to stay can have detrimental effects on their health, safety, mental wellbeing and development.

Through this program and the partnerships we create, we hope to appropriately support every Muslim (and their family) through their most difficult times and ensure that they get a fair chance at building themselves up rather than suffering on the streets.

Who is this program for?

The Crisis Accommodation program is designed to support Muslim individuals and families who are currently homeless, or at risk of homelessness, due to a history of violence or difficulties with staying at home. We hope to help them all grow out of their traumas and succeed together as Muslims in the Australian community.

Support provided through this program includes, but is not limited to, access to temporary accommodation, financial support for essentials and resources, activities to improve the family’s wellbeing, referrals to internal or partnered services, and more.

Eligibility & Application process

The application and validation process is done by the NZF Team with confidentiality. Any information given will only be used to determine the best way we can help you.
