About My Foster Family
My Foster Family (MFF) was created to support Muslim children in finding exceptional foster carers who can provide stability, support and love to a child. MFF is a not-for-profit initiative committed to support every Muslim child who has faced separation from their families and empower carers to give back to the community in order to support the growth and development of a foster child.
MFF works in NSW and VIC and their services include:
- Advocacy for Muslim Foster carers and children
- Service Referrals
- Education and Awareness Campaigns
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Training Modules
- Foster Carer and Children Friendly Events
- Research into the needs of Muslim children in care
Shared Values with NZF
Through our partnership with My Foster Family, we aim to ensure that children in the foster care system are cared for in an appropriate way that reflects their religious and cultural identity. We also aim to help support the Muslim families that decide to take on this rewarding burden.
Would you like to partner with us?
If you are an individual, company, business, service or organisation, you can become a Program Partner by financially supporting and funding our programs, either through the means of Zakat or Sadaqah.
You can also become a Service Partner by providing essential services such as Quran classes, counselling, mentoring, tutoring etc. for our programs.
