Placed in a Difficult Position

October 3, 2023

Arriving in Australia on a student visa with his family and working part-time, Yasir was devoted to ensuring he could provide a good life for his family. His wife, his biggest supporter in raising their four children was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer. This news changed their lives dramatically. With no access to Medicare or government funding, Yasir desperately needed financial help. He had to quit his job to take care of his wife and children and was referred to NZF through a friend in the community.

After undergoing a Zakat assessment, we determined that Yasir and his family required ongoing support until his wife was on the road to recovery and until he could resume work. Your Zakat alleviated the burden of financial stress, allowing him to stay at home and care for his family.

If you or someone you know is experiencing hardship and you're unsure whether you/they are eligible for Zakat, please don't hesitate to contact us at NZF for assistance.
