Easing the Burden in Difficult Times

September 20, 2023

Rahma, a widow for many years, had been caring for her disabled adult son when she received the heartbreaking news of her terminal cancer diagnosis. As she struggled with the relentless expenses of traveling to appointments, purchasing essential medications, and covering everyday living costs, the financial burden began to feel overwhelming. In her time of need, she reached out to us at NZF.

At this crucial moment, Rahma was already in palliative care, facing the final stages of her illness. With the generosity of your Zakat, we stepped in to provide Rahma with the crucial financial assistance she required. Your support provided her with much needed relief, alleviating the overwhelming stress associated with her medical expenses and daily needs.

A few weeks later, we conducted a follow-up, deeply saddened to learn that Rahma had passed away. We pray that Allah, the Most Merciful, showers her soul with His boundless mercy and grants her a place in Jannah Al Firdaus. Ameen. Rahma's story is a reminder of the significant difference Zakat can make, offering comfort to individuals during life's toughest challenges.

If you or someone you know is experiencing hardship, please don't hesitate to contact us at NZF for assistance.
