Overwhelmed by Debt

September 10, 2025

After facing a sudden medical emergency that required major surgery and months of recovery, Nauman found himself unable to work. With limited income and no extended family nearby, he relied on government support to cover basic living costs and essential expenses.

Before his health challenges, Nauman worked in a professional field and had built a steady career. However, ongoing health issues following his surgery made it difficult to meet job expectations, leading to repeated job losses and growing financial pressure.

Despite using his savings and seeking assistance from friends, Nauman’s personal debts continued to mount. The stress of financial instability, combined with the challenges of managing his health, began to affect his mental wellbeing.

Nauman was referred to NZF through a community organisation. After assessment, he was found to be Zakat-eligible under the 'debt' category. Through your Zakat, NZF was able to provide urgent financial assistance, helping Nauman manage his debts and cover ongoing essential living costs while he works toward improving his health and rebuilding his career.

Thanks to your generosity, Nauman can now focus on his health without the burden of accumulating debt.
