A Widower in Need

After Taleb’s wife passed away from a terminal illness, his world was turned upside down. Overnight, he became the sole carer of his two young children, with no extended family around him for support. On top of the emotional weight of grief, Taleb faced the harsh reality of raising his children alone while navigating the restrictions of his visa status.

Recently, he and his children were evicted from their home. With nowhere to turn, they spent a short period in crisis accommodation but once that ended, Taleb found himself back at square one, with no stable roof over their heads. His only concern was keeping his children safe, but without income or government assistance, even meeting their most basic needs became a struggle.

One of his children is not yet enrolled in school, and both are completely dependent on him. The weight of responsibility, combined with the uncertainty of their future, left Taleb exhausted and unsure of where to turn next.
