As we mark 10 years of operation, we are delighted to announce a new, strategic partnership with the United Muslims of Australia (UMA) : a partnership that aims to further support and empower our community through the power of Islam’s third great pillar.

The United Muslims of Australia (UMA) is a Sydney-based organisation that has been integral in helping shape our Australian Muslim community, providing a range of services and programs that have empowered, strengthened and connected our Ummah in Australia for over 20 years. 

As an organisation always striving to better serve our Muslim community, the UMA is partnering with NZF to provide a more streamlined avenue for Australian Muslims to give Zakat, Zakat Al-Fitr and Qurban to local families and individuals in need.  

NZF will become the principal giving partner of the UMA, distributing the donations collected from UMA’s zakatable programs and serving UMA clients on their zakat-related needs.

The UMA will encourage its diverse and generous community to fulfill their Zakat obligation through NZF, and NZF will have a presence at the UMA’s bustling centre to help the community fulfill their Zakat and Qurban obligations. This partnership will make it easier for a larger number of Muslims in Australia to donate their Zakat, Zakat Al-Fitr and Qurban to those in need, right here in our local community. 

Our partnership will also help to raise awareness about the importance of local Zakat, and its role in helping to reduce poverty and inequality within Australian Muslim communities. 

The UMA and NZF will share a stronger joint communications relationship, bringing their communities’ attention to each other’s activities and efforts to create a sustainable, strong Muslim community in Australia where Muslims always look after each other.
