Zakat is a means of purification and blessing. Allah ﷻ says: "Take alms from their wealth to purify and cleanse them..." (Surah al-Tawbah 9:103) It cleanses both the soul and the wealth, removing greed and elevating the giver spiritually. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Charity does not decrease wealth."
